2. e-TIMS is Here: The old paper TIMS cards are gone. Everything is now digital with QR code permits. We handle the digital registration so you can breeze through checkpoints.

 Trail & Peak Updates

97 New Peaks Open: To encourage "Slow Travel," the government has opened 97 new peaks in Western Nepal with royalty-free permits for 2026.

The Khumbu Exception: While guides are mandatory elsewhere, the Everest (Khumbu) region still uses its local municipality permit. However, we strongly recommend a guide for safety and local logistics.

Insurance Check: Checkpoints are now strictly verifying that your insurance covers helicopter evacuation above 4,000m.
