Discover the Peak of Adventure: Climbing in the Nepal Himalayas

There is a reason Nepal is called the "Abode of Snow." In a relatively small area, our geography packs in a world of contrasts—from lush, green jungles where the wildlife thrives to the icy, silent pinnacles of the world’s highest mountains.

When you stand in the Nepal Himalayas, you are standing in the heart of the youngest and highest mountain system on Earth. For adventurers, this is the ultimate stage. Ever since 1949, when the first peaks were opened to the world, thousands of men and women have come here to test their limits against some of the harshest yet most beautiful terrain on the planet.

Whether you are a seasoned climber or a trekker looking for your first alpine summit, Nepal offers a challenge that will stay with you for a lifetime.

The NMA "Trekking Peaks" (27 Managed Summits)

While the 8,000-meter giants get the most fame, the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) manages 27 specific peaks that are perfect for alpine-style climbing. These peaks range from 5,800m to over 6,500m, offering a true mountaineering experience without the massive scale of an Everest expedition.
