Kathmandu to Lhasa & Everest Base Camp an adventure of a lifetime experience where you can soak in with beautiful scenery of sweeping landscapes, rolling hills and snow capped peaks in the harmony of local Tibetan culture of great interest interwoven with Buddhist religion.
Stating our fabulous overland journey from Kathmandu heading towards high Langtang Himal areas around Central Himalaya, where it touches the border of Nepal and Tibet / China at Keirung, a newly opened frontier for foreign travelers.
On reaching at Langtang area with Rasuwa district inhabited by Tamang people with similar culture and heritage of Tibet, drive leads further North West to the border town at Kyirong where our Tibetan counterpart guides and driver will meet and then leads you in the heart of Tibetan country.
Drive leads first visiting the awesome World number one Mt. Everest North Base Camp at Rongbuk monastery region, here with amazing time and experience heading towards Lhasa taking high pass of Pang-la and Gyatso-la to reach at Shigatse and Gyantse are important cities after Lhasa.
With time to explore its many monasteries and historical sites and then heading towards our final destination to Lhasa as the drive leads past beautiful turquoise Yamdrok Tsho Lake and then over scenic Khamba-La pass at 4,800 m high with sweeping panorama of Tibet table land with beautiful landscapes and mountains.
Slowly our drive leads towards Kyuchi valley in fabled city Lhasa, although a modern city at present, but still retains its ancient culture and traditions of age old heritage as it was past hundred of centuries.
In Lhasa tour of famous and important heritage sites with magnificent Potala Palace, the Landmark of Tibet includes old famous Drefung and Shera monasteries with colorful market square of Barkhor, the hub of Lhasa where you can witness locals from all parts of Tibet on pilgrimage to Jhorkang Temple and other holy sites.
After a marvelous time in Lhasa our tour completes with a scenic flight back to Kathmandu with wonderful memories and exciting time on Kathmandu to Lhasa & Everest Camp Tour.

Trip Itinerary:

Day 01:Reach Kathmandu via respective airlines and transfer to hotel.
On reaching Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, where you will be received by our staff and guides and then transfer to your hotels, here our guide / leader will brief on Tour of Kathmandu to Lhasa & Everest Base Camp includes about hotels, lodge in Tibet with dos and don’ts includes evening group welcome dinner in a nice Nepalese restaurant with folk culture program as entertainment.
Day 02:Free day in Kathmandu (optional tour) obtaining Tibet visa and permit.
Free day in Kathmandu, one can join in for tour at places of interest with preparation for overland tour of Kathmandu to Lhasa to & Everest Base Camp.
Day 03: Drive to Syabrubesi 1,460 m - 07 hrs journey. 
Starting our marvelous journey with an overland drive towards North West of Kathmandu past farm villages and towns with grand views of snowcapped peaks and then reaching at cooler areas within Langtang Himal in Dhunche 1,900 m high, a main and headquarter town of Rasuwa district around Langtang area, populated by Tamang people the hill tribe of Nepal.
From here downhill for two hours with overnight at Syabrubesi, the door to Langtang, Ganesh and into Tamang Heritage Trail and as well to Tibet border.
Day 04:Drive to Kerung County 3,950 m -105 k.m via Rasuwagadhi 1,800 m.
From Syabrubesi morning drive on newly built road linking Nepal / Tibet border to Rasuwagadhi (1800m / 15 km / 1 hr min from Syabrubesi), here received by our Tibetan counterpart guide and drivers, after completing immigration & custom formalities on both side of the frontier Nepal / Tibet at Rasuwagadhi, continue drive further to Kyirong county with first overnight stop in Tibet accommodation at local guest-house.
Day 05:In Kerung rest day for acclimatization.
A necessary and important rest day for acclimatization before heading towards higher areas into Tibetan vast plateau, this village provides a perfect place with an altitude of 3,950 m as next day drive leads above 4,500 meters and much higher over passes.
At Kyirong relax and enjoy views of Ganesh and Langtang Himal that borders with Nepal and Tibet.
Kyirong is also a famous religious and historical place, home of 11th Centaury great saint and Guru Milarepa known for his tantric wisdom as well a poet and folk singer, his song are still remembered by local herdsman and villagers.
Day 06:Drive to Shegar or New Tingri 4, 350 m - 05 hrs.
From Kyirong onward where Tibetan high plateau begins as morning drive leads past Tibetan farm villages to reach on top of Lalung-la Pass (5,050m) with views of Mt. Shisapangma (8013m highest within Tibet). After Lalung-la driving on vast Tibetan plateau with high and dry terrain to Old Tingri with first glimpse of Everest and Cho-Oyo peaks, from here few hour drive to Shegar also known as New Tingri and then transfer to your hotel or lodge for overnight stop.
Day 07:Drive to Rongbuk Monastery 4,950 m - 04 hrs.
From here, drive leads away from main highway heading towards Everest North base camp around Rongbuk area, as the drive leads over Pang-la pass with super views of world highest peaks including Mt. Everest, Makalu, Cho-Oyu and adjoining peaks, from here downhill to Tashi Dzong village to reach Rongbuk Monastery and its many smaller hermitage caves.
This holy and remote area first noticed and spread to the world in 1920's by first British expedition lead by George and Irving Mallory and also mentioned in the novel 'Lost Horizon' by James Hilton. 
At present most of the retreat cells are abandoned with only few small shrines scattered at end of the valley. 
According to Rimpoche (high priest and saint) of this area, the monastery was first established as a religious site around 250 to 350 years ago. 
Day 08:At Rongbuk visit Everest Base Camp 5,200 m - 04 hrs (both ways)
From Rongbuk a short drive of 20-30 minutes to Everest North Base Camp. 
Although vehicle are not allowed to enter from Rongbuk to Everest Base Camp, where special case permits required for vehicle to enter through, most of the visitors takes horse cart, local motorbike as taxi to and from Rongbuk or walk to Base Camp which takes about 2-3 hours.
Day 09:Drive to Shigatse 3,900 m and transfer into a nice hotel - 06 hrs
Morning catching the view of Chomolungma or Mt. Everest start our overland journey back to Shegar and then uphill to a high pass Gyatso-la at the height of 5,220 m the highest point of our trip. Slowly drive leads downhill to reach at Larze town located on the road to Shigatse and Mt. Kailash area.
From this growing town few hour drives brings you at Tibet's second largest city in Shigatse for overnight stop.
Day 10:Drive to Gyantse 3,950 m with morning visit of Tashilumpo - 04 hrs. 
Morning tour of famous Tashilumpo monastery complex adorned with golden rooftop which is home to His Holiness Panchen Lama, 2nd important priest after Dalai Lama (in exile), after an exciting and interesting tour of Tashilumpo, few hour drive brings you at Gyantse the 3rd largest city in Tibet, where you can visit famous Khumbum Stupa and other old monasteries of great interest.
Day 11:Drive to Lhasa 3,600 m transfer to hotel near Barkhor - 06 hrs.
With time for visit around Gyantse and its historical sites with monasteries, morning drive leads to our main highlight and final destination to Lhasa the fabled city on the roof of the world, drive leads due north over Simi-la and then crossing a high Karo-la pass at 5,050 m with views of Najung Khangsa peaks and glaciers.
Drive continues past Nagartse town to reach at beautiful turquoise lake at Yamdrok Tsho and then uphill to Khamba-La pass at 4,800 m high offering sweeping views of Tibet landscapes with snow capped peaks.
After a grand moment heading downhill and crossing Brahmaputra or Yarlung River to reach at Kyuchi valley in Lhasa a modern city, our hotels located on the old parts of Lhasa around Barkhor Square.
Day 12-13:In Lhasa with tour of Lhasa interesting places and Potala Palace.
Two days in Lhasa engrossed with interesting tour of Drefung Monastery one of the largest in Tibet, as well important old monastery of Tibet actually a collage and a university for Tibetan Buddhism in earlier days. 
After Drefung, tour of Jorkhang Temple which is another important and interesting site to visit as it boasts historic importance and tales of old days. The tour concludes for the day visiting Bharkor Bazaar. 
Next morning guide will take you on tour to famous and magnificent Potala Palace, originally built during 640 AD. 
Potala Palace the landmark of Lhasa and Tibet dominates the Kyuchi or Lhasa valley.
The 13 storied palaces with 1,000 room stands at 117.19m high include 1000 rooms. Afternoon tour of another interesting and important Shera monastery and watch young monks in debates one of the high light of the visit. 
Day 14: Fly to Kathmandu from Lhasa 1 hr 15 mins and transfer to hotel.
Morning taking an hour drives on newly built highway to Gongar Tibet's International Airport for the an hour flight back to Kathmandu via Air China Airlines with sweeping panorama of Himalayan peaks and close views of Mt. Everest and Mt. Makalu.
After a little more than one hour flight reaching at Kathmandu international airport and then transfer for a short drive back into hustle bustle city life of Kathmandu and back into your respective hotels.
Day 15: International departure for homeward bound.
Your last day in amazing Nepal as per your schedule international flight time our staff transfer you to Kathmandu airport for your flight homeward, after a wonderful adventure on Kathmandu to Lhasa & Everest Base Camp Tour.
