Lhasa to Kathmandu and  Everest Base Camp, a remarkable overland journey which includes scenic sweeping flight to Lhasa from Kathmandu offering grand views of Himalayan peaks with high Mt. Everest and Mt. Makalu.
In fabled Lhasa city where tour takes you around interesting places of great religious and historical importance includes great Drefung and Shera Monasteries of immense interest and around colorful Barkhor Market square.

Tour includes magnificent Potala Palace known as 'Heavenly Realm' and then heading back to Nepal with a visit of 2nd important city at Shigatse and beautiful golden roofed Tashilumpo monastery complex home of holy Panchen Lama.
From Shigatse drive leads on within dramatic landscapes around Tibetan high plateau crossing scenic passes of Khamba-la and Karo-La past turquoise Yamdroktso lake and over the highest pass of the journey at Gyatso-la above 5,220 m then reaching a remote and high areas at Rongbuk Monastery and Everest North Base Camp with towering views of Everest known as Chomolungma in Tibetan language.
After a wonderful and exciting time at Rongbuk and base camp heading towards south to reach at Nepal / Tibet-China border post at Kyirong where another overland journey brings you back at Kathmandu via Langtang Himal area with grand memories and fabulous time on Lhasa to Kathmandu & Everest Camp Tour.

Trip Itinerary:

Day 01: Reach Kathmandu via respective airlines and transfer to hotel.
On reaching Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, where you will be received by our staff and guides and then transfer to your hotels, here our guide / leader will brief on Tour of Lhasa to Kathmandu & Everest Base Camp includes about hotels, lodge in Tibet with dos and don’ts includes evening group welcome dinner in a nice Nepalese restaurant with folk culture program as entertainment.
Day 02: Free day in Kathmandu (optional tour) obtaining Tibet visa and permit.
Free day in Kathmandu, one can join in for tour at places of interest with preparation for overland tour of Lhasa to Kathmandu & Everest Base Camp.
Day 03: Fly to Lhasa and transfer to hotel near Barkhor market square.
As per the morning flight time for Lhasa transfer to Kathmandu international airport for sweeping scenic flight to land at Gongar airport in Tibet near Lhasa, during airborne views of world’s highest mountains Mt. Everest at close distance, as the flight reaches Gongar airport, our Tibetan counterpart guide will meet and receive you for an hour drive to fabled Lhasa city, and then check into respective hotels around old side of Lhasa within colorful and interesting Barkhor market square.
Day 04-05:In Lhasa with tour of Lhasa interesting places and Potala Palace.
Two days in Lhasa engrossed with interesting tour of Drefung Monastery one of the largest in Tibet, as well important old monastery of Tibet actually a collage and a university for Tibetan Buddhism in earlier days. 
After Drefung, tour of Jorkhang Temple which is another important and interesting site to visit as it boasts historic importance and tales of old days. The tour concludes for the day visiting Bharkor Bazaar. 
Next morning guide will take you on tour to famous and magnificent Potala Palace, originally built during 640 AD. Potala Palace the landmark of Lhasa and Tibet dominates the Kyuchi or Lhasa valley.
The 13storied palaces with 1,000 room stands at 117.19m high include 1000 rooms. Afternoon tour of another interesting and important Shera monastery and watch young monks in debates one of the high light of the visit. 
Day 06:Drive to Gyantse 3,950 m over Karo-la and Yamdrok Tsho lake
From Lhasa drive to Gyantse city, crossing over Khamba-la 4,800m with great views of Tibetan landscapes, then towards Yamdrok Tshso “The Torquoise Lake” and drive over Karo-La at 5,050m with views of Nazong-Khangtsa peak, after a great drive of five hours reaching at Gyantse for overnight stop, afternoon tour of Phalkor Monastery, Kumbum Stupa and the local market.
Day 07: Drive to Shigatse 3,900 m - 03 hrs and visit Tashilumpo monastery.
From Gyantse a short drive of few hour to Tibet’s 2nd biggest city after Lhasa, and in Shigatse tour of Tashilumpo monastery. Traditional seat of Panchen Lama (2nd high order after Dalai Lama) this monastery contains a 27m high gold plated Buddha known as Mytaria (the future Buddha). The hotel in Shigtase is quite large and comfortable, afternoon visit the local interesting market.
Day 08: Drive to Shegar or New Tingri 4, 350 m - 05 hrs.
After wonderful stop in Shigtse, our morning drive leads outside of the city area heading South towards New Tingri or Shegar, driving on Kathmandu / Lhasa highway the road has been well maintained last few years the ride leads to Larze town, located on the road to Mt. Kailash from Larze drive climbs on zig-zag road reaching highest pass at Gyatsho-la of 5,220m high and then downhill to Shegar / New Tingro for overnight stop.
Day 09:Drive to Rongbuk Monastery 4,950 m - 04 hrs.
From here, drive leads away from main highway heading towards Everest North base camp around Rongbuk area, as the drive leads over Pang-la pass with super views of world highest peaks including Mt. Everest, Makalu, Cho-Oyu and adjoining peaks, from here downhill to Tashi Dzong village to reach Rongbuk Monastery and its many smaller hermitage caves.
This holy and remote area first noticed and spread to the world in 1920's by first British expedition lead by George and Irving Mallory and also mentioned in the novel 'Lost Horizon' by James Hilton. 
At present most of the retreat cells are abandoned with only few small shrines scattered at end of the valley. 
According to Rimpoche (high priest and saint) of this area, the monastery was first established as a religious site around 250 to 350 years ago. 
Day 10:At Rongbuk visit Everest Base Camp 5,200 m - 04 hrs (both ways)
From Rongbuk a short drive of 20-30 minutes to Everest North Base Camp. 
Although vehicle are not allowed to enter from Rongbuk to Everest Base Camp, where special case permits required for vehicle to enter through, most of the visitors takes horse cart, local motorbike as taxi to and from Rongbuk or walk to Base Camp which takes about 2-3 hours.
Day 11:Drive to Nylam 3,750 m - 06 hrs.
After a great time in Rongbuk overlooking views of Mt. Everest at its closest, morning with scenic drive leads toward Nylam near Nepal and Tibet border, starting early morning from Rongbuk with an hour drive to reach on the main Lhasa / Kathmandu highway at Old Tingri.
After a short stop continue drive heading over scenic Laylung pass at 5,050 m, with views of snowcapped peaks that borders Nepal and Tibet. After enjoying the views downhill to Nylam town and on leaving high and Tibetan dry plateau.
Day 12:Drive to Kerung in local guesthouse - 06 hrs.
A long drive today to reach at Kyirong frontier town, journey leads past Laylung pass taking a newly opened route of 6 hours overland drive to reach the border town of Tibet-China and Nepal at Kyirong for last overnight stop in Tibet.
Day 13:Drive to Dhunche town 1,900 m - 05 hrs. 
Farewell to our Tibetan guides and drivers as morning starts leaving Tibet with short drive to the border post of Nepal and Tibet / China at Rasuwa-Gadhi, here on completing visa and custom formalities then enter into Nepal border at Rasuwa Gadhi, here again following and completing immigration forms and continue drive on rough dirt road for a while to reach at Syabrubesi village, after a short refreshing break journey continues on winding uphill to reach at Dhunche town for overnight stop.
Day 14:Drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel - 05 hrs.
After a great adventure in Tibet around Kailash back into green vegetation and tall trees, catch the views of Ganesh and Langtang Himal, as morning drive leads downhill reaching around warmer areas of rice fields and terraces past Ramche, Manibhajyang and Trisuli Bazaar.
From Trisuli Bazaar few hour drives brings you back at Kathmandu, then check into your hotels. 
Day 15:International departure for homeward bound.
Your last day in amazing Nepal as per your schedule international flight time our staff transfer you to Kathmandu airport for your flight homeward, after a wonderful adventure on Lhasa to Kathmandu & Everest Base Camp tour.
