Chulu East climbing Essentially, there are two Chulu Peaks- Chulu East and Chulu West. Chulu East (6059m) with its wonderful panorama of embracing the Annapurna Himalayan range captivates you. Chulu East peak soars from the North of the Marsyangdi Khola which lies in the Manang region as well as from division of the Manang Himal which is incorporated in the bigger Damodar Himal. Chulu East lets you witness the breathtaking sights of the Annapurna range II, III, IV, Glacier Dome, Gangapurna, Tilicho Peak, Dhaulagiri and Manaslu. This remote high land region located to the North and in a rain shade is shaped by the Annapurna Himal. Encounter Nepal takes you to Chulu East peak climbing all the way from a rarely visited trail and present a memorable trekking holiday.
Chulu East’s path moves up the Marsyangdi which is rather quick and entails no huge elevation. Trekkers should be acquainted with the equipment like crampons, ice axe, harness, tying knots and managing climbing ropes. Also, you have to be fit and have experience of mountaineering. The trek will take you via extraordinary range of landscape and let you observe unique culture; cross pine and rhododendron forests; the terraced fields, Gurung people and the welcoming nature of Manage people.
Prior to Chulu East climbing peak following the path of the classic Annapurna Circuit, we go on to arrange a high camp on the south-west edge of Chulu East and we ascend through easy snow-slopes. Walking downward to Manang in the bottomless cleft of the Marsyangdi Valley, then we trek to Jomsom passing all the way through the arresting Tilicho Lake.

If you are looking for a peak that combines the legendary high-altitude trekking of the Annapurna Circuit with the raw thrill of mountaineering, Chulu East is your ultimate prize. Standing tall at 6,059m in the remote Manang region, Chulu East offers a unique advantage: it sits in the rain shadow of the Himalayas. This means while the rest of Nepal might be under clouds, Chulu often enjoys crisp, dry weather and endless horizons.
