The path of Ghale Gaun trekking lies northwest of Annapurna track. The way divides from Khudi and takes you to the striking and cultural community of Ghale Gaun which is situated at an elevation of 2020m.
You can have splendid views of peaks such as Annapurna II (7939m.), Machhapuchhre (6693m.), Annapurna (8091m.), Lamjung Himal, Annapurna IV (7525m.), Bouddha Himal (6974m.), Himalchuli (6747m.), and several snow peaks. The villagers of Ghale Gaun still follows typical cultures regarding births, marriages, deaths and several other custom activities. Old cultural dances like Jyaure, dohori, serka, Sorathi, Ghatu, Jankri etc on different occasions by using long-established musical instruments wearing traditional dresses. The track leads you all the way through the waterfalls, jungle of rhododendron and ancient village all along the way which is never exhausting.
Ghale Gaun trek starts from Besisahar driving for 6 to 7 hours from Kathmandu. Day 01: Kathmandu to Besishahar (820m)
Drive 6–7 hours from Kathmandu. Besishahar is the bustling gateway to both the Annapurna Circuit and Ghalegaun.
Day 02: Besishahar to Khudi (790m)
A pleasant 3-hour warm-up walk along the Marsyangdi River. You can also take a short 20-minute local bus.
Day 03: Khudi to Ghalegaun (2,100m)
The Climb: A 5-hour steady ascent. You’ll pass through forests and waterfalls.
The Welcome: Upon arrival, you are greeted by the community with Tika, Garlands (Malas), and a traditional welcome drink.
Day 04: Exploration Day (Ghalegaun & Bhujung)
Visit the Gurung Museum, the Tea Garden, and the View Tower for sunrise.

Day 05: Ghalegaun to Besishahar & Return
Trek down to Besishahar (approx. 5–6 hours) or take a local jeep (1.5 hours) if you want to save time for your drive back to Kathmandu or Pokhara.
