Peak Climbing in Nepal is considered one of the best adventure destinations in the world. Nepal's geography packs an extremely varied landscape into a small area. The core of the mountain complex known as Himalayas ‘abode of snow’ is the youngest and highest mountain system of the world. The name is based on the Sanskrit words, “Him” Which means snow and “alaya” means abode. The 800 km stretch of the Nepal Himalayas is considered to be the the greatest in the world with eight peaks that rise above 8,000 meter including the highest in the world, Mt. Everest. In Nepal, there have been 263 Himalayan peaks which have now opened for gutsy climbing ranging from peaks above 6,500 meter to the Mount Everest 8,848 meter for foreigners or joint expedition. Tantamount to this, the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) offers 18 + 15 = 33 Himalayan peaks for alpine trekking. The Nepal Himalayas has been an attraction to many climbing lovers that make up saints, philosophers, adventure seekers or researchers.
