Next day starting after breakfast with short drive to famous Hindu Pashupatinath Temple with golden tier pagoda roofs with four silver sided doors, the temple is busy every day with pilgrims and disciple from all over Nepal and India the main occasion is in mid February “Shiva Ratri” birth anniversary of lord Shiva.
From here a short drive to Little Tibet at Bouddhanath, declared as the largest Buddhist shrine of South Asia. The ancient colossal chortens built in the 6th century A.D. by King Man Deb. With series of three terraces and from the bird's eye view it takes the relevant shape or of a lotus flower which indeed remains a very holy object for all the devout Buddhists of the world.
The chortens surrounded by a circular market of Tibetan influence, the chortens embraces the authentic philosophy of Mahayana faith of Buddhism known as Lamaism in Nepal, Sikkim, Ladakh, Bhutan and Tibet.
After a wonderful time next day tour leads to north of Kathmandu at Buddhanilkantha also known as Narayanthan, located northern suburbs of the valley rim at the foot of Mt. Shivapuri, this is an enchanting Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu Narayan lies in a bed of serpents amidst the devout pool and seem to float on water. The surrounding pond represents the sea, statue was built in the 5th century A.D. The time and season of religious celebration here takes place right after the festival of Tihar. Although it is a renowned spot of worship, the reigning king of Nepal (may it be contemporary or any Hindu monarch) may not visit this place for reasons particularly unknown. Thus to please the king a replica of it has been built elsewhere if he wishes to visit it much.
From here drive to ancient Sankhu town and visit Bajrajogini temple dedicated to a goddess of red faced having three eyes, thumb and the middle finger of the right and left hands have decorated at bodily state Bajrayan tantra with a sword and amethyst work almost in full decoration with ornaments named Shree Shree Shree Prachanda Ugratara; respectively.
Around the area, there are nine caves that refer to the Stone Age. In one of the caves, there are two rooms. The priest, the ardent lover of the goddess goes into the cave for penance.
The Bajrayogini Fair continues from Chaite Purnima, Full Moon day that lies in March or April of the Gregorian calendar.
After an interesting time here drive to Changunarayan temple outside Kathmandu and Bhaktapur city, located on a hill side listed in the world cultural heritage, a scenic spot situated at the altitude of about 1,700 meters and 04 k.m north of Bhaktapur. The temple is believed to be the oldest of all the temples of Nepal.
It is said to have built by King Hari Datta Verma in 323 A.D. And most authentic inscription locates in the precinct of Changu Narayan dated 464 AD it is accredited to the King Lichavi King Mandeva.

Nagarkot is the favorite weekend gateway for Himalayan scenery and rural tranquility. From Nagarkot, striking views of mountains that extends all the way from Dhaulagiri in the west past Mt. Everest to Kanchenjunga in the east.
The surrounding countryside of Nagarkot is great for walking.
Nagarkot is situated at an elevation of (2,175 m.) and provides a grandstand panorama of the Himalaya. You can see five of the world’s tallest mountains – Everest (8,848m.), Lhotse (8,516m.), Cho Oyu (8,201m.), Makalu (8,463m.) – and many other lesser summits. The snow peaks look especially gorgeous during sunset and sunrise.
Next morning breakfast with alluring panorama of mountains with sunrise, then head back to Kathmandu with an interesting drive through rural farm villages and towns with visit and tour of Patan city, situated south of Kathmandu separated by a bridge over the River Bagmati. Patan also known as Lalitpur meaning city of Arts, visit the old palace courtyard (Durbar) fascinating tall terracotta house with intricate window carvings, and stone temple of Krishna with a pillar of Garuda the vehicle of Lord Vishnu and as well of Lord Krishna. After breakfast, drive to Budanilkantha, Pashupatinath, Boudhanath (Lunch at Boudhanath) and Bajrajogini temple. Then drive to Changunarayan and transfer to Nagarkot for overnight halt.
Budanilkantha: The Budanilkantha is located about 8-km north of Kathmandu, the colossal statue of Lord Vishnu, reclining on the bed of snakes. It is in the middle of a small pond and seems to float on the water.
Pashupatinath: Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most sacred Hindu shrines in the world. The richly ornamented pagoda houses the sacred phallic symbol. Devotees can be seen taking ritual dips in the holy Bagmati River beside the temple. This is one of the most sacred Hindu cremation sites. UNESCO publishes it as a world heritage site.
Boudhanath: Boudhanath is known as a Tibetan style of Buddhist Stupa. This is the oldest Tibetan Buddhist site in Kathmandu. It looms 36 meters high and presents one of the most fascinating specimens of Stupa design. It was constructed in the first century and is one of the largest Stupas in the world. All day long, the devotees walk around the Stupa, moving and unforgettable scenes. A great influence from Tibet can be experienced here. Boudhanath protected as a UNESCO world heritage site.
Bajrajogini: Situated about 20 km east of Kathmandu beside the holy Salinadi River, Bajrajogini is actually a tantric goddess, and according to local belief, her real form cannot be exposed to an uninitiated person. So even though the image inside the temple sanctum is that of Bajrajogini, she is seated and garbed in red with elegant jewel adornments.
Changunarayan: The temple is known as ancient Vishnu temple and dates back to 325 A.D. King Haridutta Varma built the shrine along with the temple of Goddess Chhinnamasta Adidevi. Lichhavi King Manadeva erected a stone pillar, dated 464 A.D., with inscription written on it which is the base for considering Changunarayan temple as the oldest specimen of pagoda architecture in Kathmandu Valley. The present form of the outer visible superstructure of the temple was rebuilt in 1702 AD.
Nagarkot: Nagarkot, at around 2100m high, 35kms from city heart, provides the breathtaking panoramic view of the Himalayas: Mt. Everest (8848m), Mt. Lhotse (8516m), Mt. Cho Oyu (8201m), Mt. Makalu (8463m) and Mt. Manaslu (8163m) and Kanchenjunga (8585m) till the Annapurnas (8091m) on the west can be seen from here. It is regarded as one of the best viewpoints in Nepal. A breathtaking view of sunset and sunrise can be experienced staying overnight here.
After breakfast, drive to Bhaktapur city. Then drive to Patan (Lunch at Patan), transfer to the international airport for onward flight.
Bhaktapur Durbar Square: Bhaktapur and its Durbar Square, about 20 kms far from the city heart, one of the three Royal towns of Nepal, is now a model town for the country for its calm, cleanness and preservation of cultural heritages. The 15th century palace of 55 windows inspires admiration. The golden gate is a masterpiece in art and the National Art Gallery is also housed inside. In the east of Durbar Square, a narrow-paved lane leads to another big square with a towering five-roofed Nyatapol temple. The stairway leading up to the temple is flanked by stone figures of deities and mythical beasts, each considered ten times more powerful than the one immediately below.
Patan Durbar Square: Patan is another city next to Kathmandu about 5 kms far from city heart. It is also known as city of fine art. A two-story building with gilded roofs encloses the stone-paved courtyard. The woodcarvings on the roof struts are especially attractive. The palace is prepared with sacred images and other small shrines. The museum in the courtyard is a collection of masterpiece of ancient arts and history to express the religious and cultural lives then in Nepal. This are is also protected as UNESCO world heritage site.
