In May 1993 the government of Nepal and China reached an accord that allowed Humla - Mount Kailash - Manasarovar Trekking. Simikot guge Kingdom trip across the border between the two countries. While it had been a route for Nepalese pilgrims for years, foreign trekkers were never allowed to trek from Nepal into Tibet. It has always been possible the rules. A trip to Mt Kailash has always been regarded as a pilgrimage. It satisfies the romantic in us that the pilgrimage to Kailash is a difficult one. Whether you drive for seven days or walk for six days, it is still not possible to make a quick, easy visit toKailash and Manasarovar. You cannot yet travel all the way to Kailash by helicopter or airplane. This is certainly as it should be.
Day 01 : Fly KATHMANDU - NEPALGUNJ - Overnight Hotel Sneha or Batika
Day 02 : Transfer to airport and fly to SIMIKOT - start trek to MAJHGAON (2,270 m) - Camp
Day 03 : Trek MAJHGAON - KHERMI (2,690 m) - Camp
Day 04 : Trek KHERMI - YANGER (2,850 m) - Camp
Day 05 : Trek YANGER - PALBANG (3,380 m) - Camp

Day 07 : Trek NARA LA - ENTER TIBET VIA SHER (3,860 m) (TIBET) - drive to PURANG (TAKLAKOT) (3,930 m) - Guest House
Day 08 : Trek NARA LA - SHER (3860 m) (TIBET) - drive to PURANG
(TAKLAKOT) (3930 m) – Guest House
Day 09 : Rest day for acclimatisation at PURANG (TAKLAKOT) – Guest House
Day 10 : Drive TAKLAKOT - MANASAROVAR (5410 m) – Guest House
Day 11 : Rest in Manasarovar – Guest House
Day 12 : Drive MANASAROVAR - DARCHEN (4520 m) – Guest House
Day 13 : Start trek (circumambulation around MT KAILASH) from DARCHEN –
DIRPHUK (4,890m) (4-5 hrs) – Guest House
Day 14 : Continue trek DIRPHUK - ZUTUL PUK (4790 m)(5-6 hrs) – Guest House.
Day 15 : Continue trek ZUTUL PUK - DARCHEN (3-4 hrs) - End trek and drive to DARCHEN – Guest House
Day 16 : Drive DARCHEN – TSAPRANG(3,700m) /TOLING(3680m) (5-6 HRS)-GUEST HOUSE
Day 17 : Explore TOLING (9th century Kingdom of GUGE but in ruin
forms) – GUEST HOUSE at TSAPRANG
Day 18 : Drive TSAPRANG – HORFE (4520m)(5-6 HRS) – Guest House
Day 19 : Drive HORFE – PARYANG (4450m)(6 HRS) – Guest House
Day 20 : Drive PARYANG – SAGA (4400m)(5-6 HRS) – Guest House
Day 21 : Drive SAGA – EVEREST BC – RONBUK – Guest House
Day 22 : Take a shuttle bus or trek or hire a horse cart to EVEREST BC (5,000 m) – Explore Everest BC – Back to RONBUK – Guest House
Day 23 : Scenic drive to ZHANGMU via LALUNG LA (5,050 m) from where one can enjoy lifetime view of MT XISHAPAGMA (8,012 m) & MT
CHO YU (8,201 m)(weather permitting) and then descend the plateau through the winding mountainous road and overnight at ZHANGMU – Guest House
Day 24 : Drive ZHANGMU - KATHMANDU – Transfer to your hotel.
