Helembu Circuit Trekking :Helambu located 75km northeast of Kathmandu valley is a region amazingly serene and cool. And, the northern part of Helambu is bounded by the peak ranges of Langtang and the Jugal. That is the reason the people of this region is identified as ‘Yolmo wa' meaning people living at the area secured by the mountains. It offers arresting peak vistas and lets you explore culture and life style of Sherpa people. Likewise, the language people speak here are different than the one spoken in Solukhumbu area even if both the languages are started off from Tibetan. The Helambu Circuit Trekking is most significantly popular for its ancient Buddhist monasteries.
The route of the Helambu Circuit Trekking ascends up to the Shivapuri edge where beautiful vistas of the Himalayas are noticeable. Walking all the way to a ridge-line the trail moves north to Thare Pati sooner than turning east to Tarke Gyang and Melemchi Gaon, the core villages of this region. Tarke Ghyang is named from the huge Ghyang (monastery) in the heart of the village. This is one of the oldest monasteries in the Helambu region.
Additionally, various ranges of luminous emerald green valleys, arresting rhododendron forests and distant picture of snowy mountains makes Helambu Circuit Trekking one of the wonderful short treks. We can see classic tea houses. Encounter Nepal design Helambu Circuit Trek, a guest house or tent trekking for you and the best seasons to go for the trek are March to May and September to November.

Helambu 2026:

The Return to Melamchi Gaun Often called the "Hidden Valley," Helambu is finally back to its full glory. While the 2021 floods changed the riverside landscape, the highland Sherpa villages—specifically Melamchi Gaun—have revived their ancient monasteries and teahouses. This trek is now a testament to the resilience of the Hyolmo people. It offers a rare, crowd-free alternative to Everest, featuring the sacred Ama Yangri peak and the most authentic Sherpa encounters within a day's drive of Kathmandu.
