The Royal trek gives you your first experience of what it’s like to hike out on the mountains. For kids, It would be good to tag them along if they are 10 years & above. They would just love the adventure. It is called the Royal Trek after the Prince of Wales who first trekked this picturesque region. It is also well known as the Annapurna Skyline trek. On completion of this trek, Prince Charles, in his interview to the media remarked, ‘This was the best walk I ever did in all of my life’.
This trek is also called the little Annapurna Circuit & is a very popular one in Nepal. The highest point of this trek (3200mtrs) and for many the highlight is an early morning pilgrimage to Poon Hill for a spectacular sunrise over the Himalayas where the mountains stretch to Ghandruk village as far as the eye can see north towards Tibet West towards the Dhaulagiri Himal and East with superb views of the Annapurna Himal. Not a difficult trek but it helps if you have a reasonable degree of fitness. This trek is considered to be the best introduction to trekking with some spectacular views.The Royal trek gives you panoramic views of the Annapurna range including the fishtail mountain Machhapuchre, Lamjung himal, Dhaulagiri and the Manaslu peaks and on the way, you experience the village lifestyle of Nepal and spend some time near Pokhara’s beauty lakes…a nice venture that gives you romantic feelings…trips that you can only experience with special outings…just the way ‘encountersnepal.com  does it; giving you holidays that stir your imaginations deep down in the soul.
Itinerary List
Day 1 :Kathmandu to Pokhara (200 km/ 6-7 hours): Drive by bus/car or fly.
Day 2 :Pokhara-Bijayapur Khola to Kalikasthan: Drive, trek.
Day 3 :Kalikasthan to Syaklung: Trek.
Day 4 :Syaklung to Chisopani: Trek.
Day 5 :Chisopani to Begnas Lake-Pokhara: Trek, drive.
Day 6 :Pokhara to Kathmandu (200 km/ 6-7 hours): Drive by bus/car or fly.
