Everest Base Camp Group join Trekking The main component at this level is likely to be a long, high altitude trek, uphill mountain biking on rough terrain or other adventure activity that requires physical and mental stamina. You should be in good physical shape before embarking on one of these adventures. A high level of physical preparation is essential, as you may be walking, cycling or other activity for up to 8 hours per day. Altitudes will often exceed 4000 meters and there may be camping in remote areas and/or for relatively long periods (3 weeks).You will arrive in Lukla village with 35-minute flight.  Short trek to Phakding for over night. Next day morning after breakfast we continue to Namche Bazaar (3442m), where we will spend one day acclimatizing and enjoying the colourful and vibrant market place. The Sherpa people, whose lifestyle is uniquely different to any other indigenous populace in the world and who are renound for their warm heartedness inhabit the villages in which we will be staying. The following days trekking will bring us to the village of Tengboche, home to the highest Buddhist monastery in the world (4100m), also reputed by photographers as one of the best places to capture the awesome beauty of Mt. Everest (8848m) and its surrounding peaks. The following morning, we proceed to Pheriche (4240m)/Dingbochhe, passing immense frozen glaciers and dramatic scenery, where another acclimatization day will be taken allowing us to spend time enjoying exceptional views of the snow-capped Amadablam (6956m). Advancing to Everest Base Camp (5350m), we can enjoy spectacular glacial forms and the great sense of triumph from making it ‘all the way’! Continuing to KalaPattar viewing point (5550m) to enjoy a majestic sunrise over Mt. Everest. We then retrace our steps back to Lukla village, where we will take a short flight back to Kathmandu, enjoying our last visions of the awe-inspiring Himalayan rang

14  DAYS EVEREST BASE CAMP GROUP JOIN TREK

Day 1 : KATHMANDU (1250 M.)-LUKLA (2840 M.)-PHAKDING (2610 M.):
This morning you will be transferred from your hotel to the Kathmandu airport for our domestic flight to Lukla. The flight itself is awe-inspiring as we fly parallel to the Himalayan giants bordering Nepal and Tibetan China. Flying time to Lukla is approximately 35 minutes. Upon arrival in Lukla, there will be time to explore the village whilst the Sherpa crew sort and load equipment. Lukla lies at an altitude of (2850m.) (Luk-la= place of sheep). From Lukla we descend on a wide trail northwest to the village of Choblung in the Dudh Koshi valley. The valley is covered with beautiful pine and rhododendron forest. The walking is easy as we follow the river’s course passing through the village of Ghat. Our destination today is the small village of Phakding where accommodation is provided in the teahouse lodges. It is approximately three hours, walking distance from Lukla to Phakding. Stay overnight in Phakding.
Day 2 : PHAKDING-NAMCHE (3446 M.):
From Phakding we head up valley on a busy trail. Porters here from the lower Solu district in the south ferry supplies to Namche, while Sherpa with their Zopkio (half yak, half cow) take trekking or climbing expedition equipment to the higher valleys. We continue beside the Dudh Koshi amongst beautiful alpine scenery, through fragrant blue pine and fir forest, glimpsing spectacular views of Kusum Kangru (6,369m) and Thamserku (6,608m) along the way. We again cross the Dudh Koshi to the western bank at Jorsale prior to reaching the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park. Continuing upstream along the banks to the confluence of the Bhote Koshi and Dudh Koshi, we begin our first sustained ascent to Namche Bazaar after crossing the large suspension bridge. Walking at a slow pace, we have fantastic photographic opportunities as the peaks of Everest (8,848m), Lhotse (8,511m), Nuptse (7,879m), Ama Dablam (6,856m), and Taweche (6,542m) come into view for the first time. Climbing again, the path takes us through pine trees to reach the distinctive horseshoe shaped bowl containing the town of Namche Bazaar. It is approximately four hours, walking distance from Phakding to Namche. Stay overnight in Namche Bazaar.
Day 3 : REST DAY IN NAMCHE BAZAAR:
Today is a full day of rest to acclimatize. As the name suggests, Namche is famous for its local market or Bazaar (held on Saturday). Each week Sherpas from the surrounding villages come to buy food and to socialize. Any food not grown locally, such as rice, corn and some vegetables, is brought in from the lowland villages, which can be up to a six to ten days walk from Namche Bazaar. Rising early, those who climb to the ridge above Namche will be rewarded with the stunning dawn and sunrise over the panorama of the Khumbu peaks. Spend the morning exploring this colorful and lovely spectacle. Perhaps walk along the Thame valley in the afternoon or visit the national park headquarters to see the interesting displays of Sherpa lifestyle and culture and photographic displays of famous mountaineering expeditions. Stay overnight in Namche Bazaar.
Day 4 : NAMCHE BAZAAR-TENGBOCHE (3860 M.):
After breakfast, our trek leads to Fungi Thenga for lunch. After lunch we ascend another two hours to reach Tengboche where we pay a visit to the Monastery with our guide. It is approximately five hours walking distance from Namche to Tengboche. Stay overnight in Tengboche.
Day 5 : TENGBOCHE-PHERICHE (4252 M.):
We walk through Pangboche village where what is claimed to be a Yeti’s scalp and the fingers of a hand are kept in the Pangboche Monastery and can be seen with our guide. It is approximately five hours, walking distance from Tengboche to Pheriche. Stay overnight in Pheriche.
Day 6 : PHERICHE-LOBUCHE (4930 M.):
The first part of the day we climb a small ridge contour to Dugla (4,600 m.) before climbing the moraines of Lobuche for the best view get of the high mountains including Mt. Everest (Sagarmatha). It is approximately four hours, walking distance from Pheriche to Lobuche. Stay overnight in Loboche.
Day 7 : LOBUCHE-KALAPATHTHAR (5545 M.)-GORAKSHEP (5151 M.):
This trail gives one a great view of beautiful Mt. Pumori. This section of the trek also provides good views of the Everest group from Gorakshep and Kalapaththar. It is approximately three hours, walking distance from Lobuche to Gorakshep. Stay overnight in Gorakshep.
Day 8 : GORAKSHEP-EVEREST BASE CAMP (5364 M.)-LOBUCHE:
Everest Base Camp
is the main camp for the mountaineers situated at an elevation of (5364 m.). Trekkers feel understandably very happy to reach here, as The Everest Base Camp is not only full of history, but breathtakingly dramatic also perched at the foot of the infamous Khumbu icefalls. It is approximately two hours, walking distance from Gorakshep to Everest base camp and three hours from Gorakshep to Lobuche. Stay overnight in Loboche.
Day 9 : LOBUCHE-DINGBOCHE (4350 M.):
To go to Dingboche, we retrace our steps back down to Duglha, and then go straight up the hill from the bridge to reach an upper trail, staying high above the valley floor, past the yak pasture at Dusa to a chorten at the head of the Imja valley. Dingboche, incidentally, is the only place in Khumbu where barley is grown. It is approximately three hours, walking distance from Lobuche to Dingbouche. Stay overnight in Dingboche.
Day 10 : DINGBOCHE-TENGBOCHE:
The trail from Dingboche descends the Imja Khola valley, and then crosses the Khumbu Khola. Following the trail downhill, it is easy to make a detour and visit the upper part of Pangboche and the village gompa, then continue to Tengboche for the night. It is approximately four hours, walking distance from Dingbouche to Tengboche. Stay overnight in Tengboche.
Day 11 : TENGBOCHE-NAMCHE BAZAAR:
The route descends to Phunki Thangka, and then ascends the ridge towards Namche Bazaar. It is approximately three hours, walking distance from Tengboche to Namche Bazaar. Stay overnight in Namche Bazaar.
Day 12 : NAMCHE BAZAAR-PHAKDING:
It’s a long walk from Namche to Lukla. We break the trip into two days with a night at Phakding.
Day 13 : PHAKDING-LUKLA:
The trail continues ascending steadily through the bank of Dudhkosi and reaches Lukla, overnight at Lukla.
Day 14 : LUKLA-KATHMANDU:
The flight from Lukla to Kathmandu takes 35 minutes.

Note:

Accommodation during the Everest base camp group join trek is basic with double beds. This type of accommodation is called teahouse or lodge and they won't have attached however they are some place which is very expensive varying from USD15 to USD 250.
